Who is Keith Mosher? A short Biography.
Raised in the of small town Tiffin, Ohio Keith set out on his own at the age of 18. He joined the US Army for six years, traveling the world, fighting wars, protecting oil reserves...you get the picture. After his stint with the service he returned home for a short while, where he met his future wife in an internet chat room.
Shortly thereafter he quit his job, loaded his belongings into a station wagon and drove across country, with $250 in his pocket, to be with his true love. They decided a couple of years later to move to Las Vegas for a fresh start, where they reside to this day. Keith took work as a security guard and then a Mail Man for the USPS. Now making good money, in what most consider a great career job, he found himself at the age of 35 to be the unhappiest he had been in years.
Delivering the mail, was just not his calling. He felt if he stayed with the USPS his whole life and retired in 25 years, he would look back on his life with nothing but regret. His wife tried countless times to help him discover his true passion in life, and after much soul searching Keith found the answer he was looking for...filmmaking.
"I've always loved movies, from as far back as I can remember. And not just watching them, but actually visualizing how I would have done a shot differently and told a story better. Once I got behind the camer for my first short film Final Hour, I was hooked. It took one day on set to realize, this is what it's all about. If I can make this my living, this my passion, this would finally bring me the happiness and satisfaction I was looking for."
- Keith Mosher
As of this writing (1/22/08), Keith is only days away from wrapping principal photography on his first feature film One Long Day. This mafia based action comedy is scheduled to be released on DVD in 2008. Additionally Keith is busy writing a book about the whole process of making his first action film.
The book is an insightful, straight-forward blueprint for other aspiring filmmakers to follow, and is projected to be released along with the One Long Day DVD later in 2008.
After wrapping his first feature film, Keith will seek representation by an agent, and continue with his next feature film project. His future plans include getting a multi-picture deal with a major Hollywood studio, where he will have the chance to bring some of his greatest visions to the big screen.
